About the founder

Janet founded J Neubert Consulting to help mission-driven organizations unlock the full potential of their leadership and workforce. She has nearly 30 years of experience in organizational development, leadership development, and human resources management as a consultant, leader, and advisor — working with domestic and international organizations across the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, in industries ranging from youth services, education, and public charter schools to software, energy, utilities, and public radio. Alongside her broad HR background, she brings deep, hands-on experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, total rewards, executive compensation, HRIS, and talent mergers and acquisitions.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell College and a Master of Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society for Human Resource Management, where she remains an active member.
Janet lives in Sycamore, Illinois — about 70 miles west of Chicago — with her husband, Tim, and their rescue dog, Patch. They enjoy small-town living: supporting local businesses, fostering dogs through their local humane society, and taking in the area's music, theatre, and art with friends and family.
